3/4 pound steak (sirloin or flank is good)
Marinade:
1/2 teaspoon sugar
2 teaspoons soy sauce
2 teaspoons Chinese rice wine or dry sherry
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 tablespoon vegetable oil, such as canola

Spicy Chinese Shrimp recipe
1 pound shrimp, peeled
1 cup soy sauce
2 teaspoons crushed red pepper
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 1/2 tablespoons garlic powder
